I am just going to say it. Waldo Pizza has the best pizza in Kansas City PERIOD! I love the old-school pizza joint atmosphere and the fast and friendly wait staff. If you have never been to Waldo Pizza before, be sure to check out their lunch buffet to sample a wide variety of toppings and crusts. They have pasta, salad and an incredible dessert pizza too! This is my go-to pizza joint and I absolutely LOVE it!
My family loves the pizza here. It's great for carry out but the dining room is nice, too. The bar has a good beer selection and the people are always friendly. They do have a buffet option for dine-in but it's a small buffet and I'm not sure what hours it's offered. Expect to pay more here than you would at one of the big corporate pizza restaurants but, in my opinion, the food is better and worth the extra cost when you don't mind spending a few extra dollars.
Great pizza and atmosphere. The bathrooms were clean and the service was excellent. Easy to spot from the road. The ratatouille pizza was spot on, 5he only recommendation I would definitely add mushrooms for that additional earthy flavor.
The food is good, largest salad buffet in Lee's Summit (for a pizza place).
I was really excited to move closer to Waldo Pizza. I used to live near the original in Waldo and really liked it. But this one does not stand up to my expectations. I usually do carry out and getting anyone on the phone beyond a "please hold" can be a challenge. Our order is frequently wrong making me think they aren't paying attention when they are on the phone. When they do get it right, it's great pizza and they have a great beer selection if you need to wait. But I always feel like I need to double check everything before I leave.
