Can't believe the reviews are this poor! This place is amazing - I've been at least 8 times in the past 5 years and every experience has been great. This is a well-organized, well run license bureau. Love the fact there is someone at the door who's sole responsibility is to review each person's documents and what they need to accomplish and make sure they have everything they need. Without that help, you'd wait your turn in line and THEN find out you forgot a form at home. Great service! Thank you!
This definitely isn't the worst DMV I've ever been to... keep in mind the others I've always had a really long wait time, like 6 hours. I went at 4:30 and I was out less than an hour later. So wait time was reasonable and the employees are competent. And this location actually answers their phone.
Where it goes down hill is the waiting room is cramped, and stuffy. The line tickets are placed in an odd way, and the labeling for the Motor Vehicles line being placed in a way that is easily looked over. And I don't know what the deal is with Missouri but they do not want you to use your card for anything. My vehicle inspection only accepted cash, the accessors office does not accept cards, and the DMV charges an exorbitant "convenience fee". For the DMV alone my total came to $750.... WHO IN THE WORLD WALKS AROUND WITH $750 ON THE DAILY?
Got to be a record..In and out in less than 15 minutes on a Friday at noon! Friendly and efficient. And they have cookies. The good kind.
