Clean, safe, and awesome spots with lots of space. Water pressure is very high! Lots of broken hoses seen. Be aware.
Stayed for the weekend. It was nice and well kept. We went on the trails and saw so many deer. Looked over next to me and there was a baby one. Saw some leaches. We enjoyed our time, and plan to return
Primitive tent, electric tent, and RV sites. Tent sites were far enough from RV sites that I didn't feel like I was at an RV park, couldn't hear the RVs at night. I felt like the campsites were small for $20. We were made to pick a site upon entry. Not much grass on the exterior of the loops, mostly rocks and gravel. Fire ring with flip over grill for cooking. The interior sites and electric sites seemed nicer but were extra, and we just needed a place to rest our heads while we passed through the area. Attendant was on duty until 9pm which was good for our late arrival. Firewood for sale at the site. Bathrooms were locked with a passcode the entire time we were there, so not sure what they looked like. We arrived late and left early, so didn't feel like we had a chance to ask the attendant for the code. One of the water wells was broken, so i had to walk to another. Not a big deal just annoying. We were there on a Tuesday, so the park was fairly empty, but everyone there seemed friendly. The ranger did drive by three times. We waved every time, he didn't wave back. At one point, he parked a few sites down from us and just sat (kind of weird, but whatever floats your boat dude). We originally intended to go to blue springs campground, after a recommendation from a park employee over the phone, but it appeared closed. The park itself seemed really nice, but we didn't really check it out. Overall it had what we needed, and got the job done.
What a peaceful campground. We will definitely come again The campground host was very friendly and helpful. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
The campground is lovely and quiet. It's well-maintained. The staff (one guy) is on-site and friendly. The campground is gated so not just anyone can wander in. However, the bathrooms were not great. The women's had only one working shower. Sinks got messy quickly because there were no paper towels to wipe up after yourself. Not gross by any means, but not as good as they could have been.
